You will enjoy having these responsibilities:
- To implement and manage project related to Urban Rail Signalling in accordance with contractual requirements and company processes.
- To strategically manage client’s expectations and wants with respective to what is achievable within Hitachi rail GTS ’ overall business.
- To lead the team to create an appropriately detailed schedule and then use that schedule and critical path to manage the execution of the project.
- To be able to evaluate and report on project “Estimates to Complete” in accordance with company practices thus providing clarity on cost exposures and future labour needs.
- To possess an ability to review and input into the project Risk register. Once risks are established, to be accountable for decisions on expenditures of mitigation actions to support the most advantageous option for the company and project’s benefit and success.
- To display strong communications skills ensuring clarity with senior management, the client and the project team.
- To manage bids and proposals to customer’s new request in relation to the assigned project, support client’s scoping and budgeting exercise, shape execution baseline, solidify quality of estimate and commitment control, and drive technical and price negotiation until contract award
- To follow up with interfacing system-wide contractors to ensure on-time sign-off and enforces its application of the joint agreements e.g. Interface Control Document (ICD), Interface Data Document (IDD) and Joint Statement
- Coordinate with other SWCs, Authority and Operator for the schedule of activities and the preparation of the modification forms (AFM) to ensure timely start and progress of the work. In this capacity you work with the Project Technical Manager, the Installation and T&C managers
- Gather the required information from the System and Sub-system teams, that is necessary to the timely progress of the Interface work with other coordinated interfaces. When required, and within your technical area of expertise, you provide possible solutions to resolve technical problems so as to minimise possible delays for the project. When required you escalate issues to the Project Technical and the Project Engineering Managers
You have:
- Degree or Diploma from either a Business or Technical/Engineering background
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to execute according to plan and deliver measurable results in a timely manner.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Lead by example, build and manage a strong team.
