Job Description

The Lloyd's Register Foundation Institute for the Public Understanding of Risk (IPUR) is the premier and only University Research Institute focusing on risk perception and communication in Asia. Beyond research, IPUR has a strong outreach mandate with the aim of transforming the risk communciation landscape in Asia. Its mission is to help people make better decisions in the face of risk.

As IPUR's Partnerships Manager, the staff will support our partnership and engagement initiatives to further the Institute's objectives. The ideal candidate is an independent and dynamic individual who is comfortable managing project budgets and deliverables, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders and someone who is committed to the Institute’s mission. The candidate would need to be well organised, have experience in managing projects and ideally be familiar with NUS' policies and processes in order to cultivate partnerships for results.

The staff would have the unique opportunity to manage collaborative projects from start to end, working with partners from government, private sector, and academia across the world, particularly in Asia. This includes providing support in grant proposal preparation, grant management, donation fund management, establishing new collaborations and overseeing their implementation, and managing the Institute's various existing partnership programmes - Seed Grant Call, Expert Affiliate Programmes, Exchange Fellowships, Internship Programmes and Executive Education Programmes.

The staff would also provide support in the organization of IPUR's events programme, which includes conferences, seminars and workshops. The staff will be exposed to a diverse range of functions and be supported by colleagues from HR, Finance, and Procurement as well as the IPUR team.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
  • 2 - 5 years of working experience
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Relevant experience in establishing industry partnerships and grant management would be valued but not necessary.
