We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate Director, Client Propositions & Strategic Initiatives.
Principal Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- 60% Client propositions-related initiatives/projects., 40% business development / strategic initiatives, with the key objective of improving the current AM book of business from a growth, quality and sustainability perspective.
- Lead specific initiatives aimed at enabling / improving client engagement eg. Strategic client programmes, sales process/upskilling, client servicing needs, IM engagement plan etc.
- Internal business initiatives – client pulse, product curation, broad collaboration opportunities
- BAU business management duties: Own internal SG AM Exco meeting agenda, representative / coverage for (Asia AM Exco, Singapore WPB Exco, Singapore Management Exco, regional WPB Market check-ins etc) – actions and deliverables alongside AMSG CEO.
Selling points of the role (i.e. Career progression, commission structure, learning opportunities, etc.)
- Senior strategic business development / management role
- Opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of business / investment management units within AM to create end to end business plan / strategy.
- Career progression: Opportunity to grow within the AM Business Strategy function, or towards a COO/CAO-type role over the next 5-10 years
Any particular key experience or requirement needed from a candidate?
- Experience with broad AM general business development, strategy, projects.
- Expert collaborator with internal stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Investment Management etc.
- Understands wholesale and institutional businesses, client segments (eg. Retail, Private Banks, Insurers, Sov Wealth, Pension clients) their products, capabilities and competitive landscape.
- Preferably has experience with consultants/statboards etc.
- Alts experience and ASEAN related knowledge/experience preferred.

- Strong communications and influencing skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse background and of varying seniority
- Project management experience and discipline
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver against tight deadline
- Experience in asset management industry or management consulting industry a plus
- University graduates; MBA / CFA a plus
