The Role
This is a key leadership role within our Global Digital Team/s focused on defining and implementing Hogarth's global QA and automation strategy, and will focus on the following key areas:
- Best practice ways of working, standards and requirements
- Overall QA strategy and structure for implementation
- Automation first approach
- External and internal stakeholder facing process documentation
- Best practice documentation, tools and technology for implementation
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Global QA teams - Structure for growth and scale, recruitment, team mentoring, and training plans
- Automation first ways of working and approach
- Existing client facing and new business opportunities
- Establish global governance with QA teams across offices
- Global processes and documentation - Test plans, user stories etc.
- Gap analysis and capabilities enhancement in QA teams
- Automation first approach - Establish automation technology and processes as standard in global QA teams
- Participate in new business opportunities, pitches, to present QA strategy, processes and workflows
- Adhere to our Global Digital Production KPIs and metrics
- Actively problem solve ongoing and new challenges
- Present progress and updates to existing clients
- Automation target for bottom-line improvement and plugging revenue leakages due to quality issues
Prior test experience should include:
- Work across both Mac and PC platforms (ideally in a Client environment)
- Extensive Front-End Web Page testing covering:Webpage Creative Compliance and Formatting according to style sheet
Copy and Content QA according to brief
Image, video and other media assets
- Automated visual regression testing implementation and strategies
- Cross Browser Compatibility
- Localization testing
- Usability and Accessibility Testing
- Device testing – Familiarity with Fluid, page responsiveness
- Knowledge on any Defect Management tool (JIRA, Mercury/Rational tools)
- Familiarity with SQL – Intermediate level
- Basic Knowledge of Unix/Linux (Shell scripting)
- Able to run test scripts
- Familiarity with email client testing across major mail clients (including Outlook and Mail)
- Familiarity with web email testing across major mail clients (including Gmail, Office365, Yahoo!) – Link Testing
- Development of test plans
- Extensive experience with automated testing frameworks such as Behat/Gherkin
- Experience working with PHP, JS, and .Net CMS/frameworks and testing strategies
- Experience working in a client facing environment, and contributing to new business
- Own testing platform tools and services globally for QA & automation
