· Direct or arrange on-shore services such as supply of ships' stores and equipment, ship inspections and overhauls, crew replacements and navigational information for shipping company vessels arriving in port.
· Order ship's stores, deck and navigation equipment and fuel, for delivery according to ship master's requirements and arranges for inspections, tests and overhauls as required by regulations or company practices.
· Processes and responds to all marine-related services and repair inspections, reporting promptly to the Head of Department (HOD) and Deputy General Manager.
· Communicate work details with the department head and customers, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all repair services.
· Continuously sources new suppliers and service providers, maintaining good relationships with existing ones.
· Conducts internal and safety audits onboard vessels on behalf of the ship owners.
· Manages the company's safety-related matters, ensuring compliance with the Safety Committee’s requirements.
· Assists the department general manager in implementing measures related to quality management objectives and continuous system improvement.
· Assists the department general manager in formulating long and short-term policies and planning procurement tasks for inventory, spare parts, and maintenance services.
· Assists the department general manager in selecting and evaluating suppliers for approval by Company’s DGM and owner representatives.
· Assists the department general manager in overseeing all invoicing and payment processes related to purchasing and repairs.
Requirements
Possess an engineering diploma or have maritime background experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
（Required to communicate in Chinese with colleagues in China HQ）
Proficient in using Office software.
Physically fit and able to work on various sizes of vessels.
Willing to work overtime, including weekends and public holidays, if required.
Experience as chief engineer is required.
