Business Manager (Therapeutic Area- Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH)

Job Purpose

Business Manager (Therapeutic Area- Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) provides overall business direction and leadership for company PAH therapeutic portfolio. He/She plays a critical role in driving impact of company PAH portfolio. He/She will have direct responsibility towards company PAH therapeutic portfolio day to day sales and marketing activities

Primary Responsibilities

Product management, Market understanding & Strategy

Oversees and optimize the lifecycle of company PAH portfolio.

Utilize market analysis to gain deep understanding of the PAH treatment landscape and health ecosystem.

Identify opportunity spaces that will allow company PAH portfolio to deliver impact and improve the overall treatment landscape .

Develop strategic business plans and implement initiatives to achieve market penetration targets, revenue and patient impact.

Shape company PAH portfolio branding and positioning in line with global guidance while ensuring relevance to local landscape.

Develop and implement market strategies/ communication campaigns aimed at moving healthcare professionals (HCP) community involved in PAH up the belief/ adoption ladder.

Build positive experience among the PAH HCP community for company PAH therapy. Identify, build and partner with advocates in the scientific community to shape treatment pathway/ protocol within respective hospitals.

Data Analytics

Utilizing market data and insights, applying data analytics to inform on strategic decisions and optimize business performance.

Market Access:

Worked with external affairs, access, policy and communication (EAPC) team in company to optimize the PAH patient ecosystem which may include but not limited to disease education, therapy adherence support.

Worked with EAPC team to navigate and unlock affordability to ensure broad access to company PAH therapy while protecting the value of innovation. This includes understanding the healthcare financing landscape, payer dynamic, healthcare policies within Singapore. financing patient support program

PAH Patient ecosystem optimization

Continuous opportunities identification for innovation and improvements in PAH patient ecosystem. This include but not limited to patient support program, improving processes to enhance patient outcome, treatment adherence.

Performance Monitoring:

Identify key goals and associated performance metrics to measure the effectiveness/ success of identified initiatives.

Monitor performance and progress of initiatives identified in the business plan.

Perform retrospect and apply learnings that can improve execution of the next initiative.

Overall Portfolio Financial Management

Responsible for setting and achieving financial goals aligned with market potential / opportunities.

Managing budgets aligned with portfolio objectives and revenue forecast.

Ensure financial discipline, thoughtful spent to ensure maximum impact and return of investment

Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the oncology accounts.

Sales Reporting and Analytics: Monitoring sales performance. Metrics. Preparing sales forecasts and generating reports for management review.

Cross Functional Leadership / Subject matter expert for PAH business in company.

Provide strategic direction and leadership to patient solution lead and cross function team to achieve the portfolio goal.

Be the go to person within the organization with regards to the PAH business.

Mentoring/ Coaching:

Provide guidance and mentorship towards infield marketing colleague and patient solution manager who are supporting the PAH portfolio.

Ethics, compliance

Ensuring all business activities comply with regulatory and industry practice standards of Singapore. This involves staying updated on relevant regulations, guidelines and company internal policies.

Education Level:

A degree in Life Science, Biomedical, Pharmacy, Business (Sales/Marketing) or relevant subject or fields

Experience:

· At least 6-8 years Sales and Marketing experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry required,

· Prior experience in rare disease therapeutic area will be an added advantage but not compulsory.

· Prior experience in product launch

· Strong strategic mindset

· Strong business management & planning skills

· Proven track record in Sales and Marketing achievement

· Strong customer focus and proven team and relationship building skills

Critical Skill Sets to have:

· Entrepreneurship – placing priority on both internal and external customer’s perspectives when making decision and taking actions. Leading to implementation of initiatives that meet both customer’s and company needs.

· Business Savviness – Understanding the PAH business; building and applying one’s knowledge of the industry, stakeholders, company operations, financial performance to drive portfolio results.

· Strategic Planning- ability to prioritize and establish action plan for both self and collaborating partner to ensure completion of initiatives on time.

· Decision Making- Through the identification, understanding on key opportunities and risks, ability to choose the best course of action by establishing clear decision criteria. Taking timely action that is consistent with available facts/ constraints while understanding potential impact and implications.

· Emotional Intelligence- ability to build trust to encourage communication and strengthened relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

· Influence- Utilizing effective involvement and persuasion strategies to gain acceptance and commitment to ideas and actions to support achieving portfolio outcomes.

· Talent Growth- embrace continuous learning, gaining knowledge and skill sets leading to competencies upskilling and professional growth.
