Job Responsibilities:
- Install and configure SAP systems (ERP, S/4HANA, BW, PI, etc.) on various platforms.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and kernel updates.
- Configure SAP instances and manage system landscapes.
- Monitor the performance and health of SAP systems using tools like SAP Solution Manager.
- Manage and maintain system parameters, profiles, and configurations.
- Perform routine system administration tasks, including job scheduling, printer management, and transport management.
- Administer and maintain databases used by SAP systems (Oracle, SQL Server, HANA, etc.).
- Perform database backups, restores, and recovery procedures.
- Manage user accounts, roles, and authorizations in SAP systems.
- Implement and maintain security policies and procedures to protect SAP data.
- Conduct security audits and monitor for unauthorized access.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas can be an advantage.
- Proven experience as a SAP Basis Consultant or in a similar role.
- Experience with SAP system installations, configurations, and upgrades.
- Experience with database administration for SAP systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, HANA).
- Proficiency in SAP Basis administration, including system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of SAP architecture, including ABAP and Java stacks.
- Knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, UNIX) and network configurations.
- Familiarity with SAP security and authorization concepts.
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager and other monitoring tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
