General duties
- Performs professional care to the patients in the outpatient clinic.
- Performs routine tests on selected groups of patients, e.g., blood pressure, height and weight measurement, and urine labstix test and reports abnormalities appropriately.
- Assists with preparation and dispensing medicine to patients based on the prescription ordered by specialist for both in-patient and out-patient cases.
- Assists to purchase and collect non-standard medicine from the hospital pharmacy when assigned by the specialists.
- Informs patient of normal lab test results and send a copy via email to patient when required by the specialist. Ensures proper documentation in Plato.
- Maintains skill and knowledge in using various medical devices such as Electronic fetal monitor and other Gynae unit instruments.
Other duties:
- Registers all referrals by insurance companies in Plato and submit the visit and fees collectable on-line to the relevant insurer body for claim on the same day.
- Performs stock count for medicine and vaccination ordered by the specialist and update the details in Plato promptly.
- Performs stock count for consumable/medical device ordered by the specialist and update the details in Plato promptly.
- Maintains stock and top up consumables in the consultation room.
- Maintains proper retrieval and filing of hard copy casenotes.
- Responsible for holding the company mobile phone and answer any queries from the patient promptly when assigned.
- Practices good housekeeping habits. Maintains tidiness particularly the doctor consultation room, front counter, and clinic pharmacy.
