About Our Client
Our client is a Property & Real Estate start-up, and they have been making head ways across APAC since 2021. They own multiple hospitality and F&B venues across SEA, and continue to build their growing portfolio within the Real Estate & Property across multiple countries. As part of their growth strategy, they are looking for their first Group Finance Manager to join their team. The Group Finance Manager will manage and assist finance direct reports to ensure accurate and timely financial closing, while managing overall group consolidation, operational excellence and assist with setting up finance processes for new countries within APAC. They are open to External Audit talents with strong Managerial experience across the Real Estate and Property portfolios, and this is the perfect chance to jump into your first commercial role.
Job Description
- Lead and manage the Finance team to ensure seamless daily operations, timely financial closings, and accurate preparation of financial and management reports.
- Oversee group consolidation and prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), while assessing the implications of business combinations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and Group accounting policies in all group-related accounting matters.
- Enhance financial processes within the Group by developing and implementing effective policies, procedures, and financial controls to improve efficiency and operations.
- Coordinate with bankers, auditors, tax agencies, company secretaries, and relevant financial/government institutions on all financial and statutory matters.
- Oversee and manage all tax matters (both direct and indirect) for the Group.
- Support ongoing Transfer Pricing studies and implementation, conducting regular internal reviews of transfer pricing policies in line with the latest tax regulations.
- Monitor working capital and cash balances, manage cash flow projections, and optimize cash balances and financing of working capital.
- Assist in preparing all corporate-related agreements.
- Evaluate group and tax structures, researching the implications of new acquisitions or disposals as necessary.
- Assess the group's tax implications and exposure across all industries bi-annually and as needed.
The Successful Applicant
- Degree in Accounting, ACCA, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 6-8 years' experience in external audit within a people-management remit.
- Hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing group consolidated financial statements.
- A team player who is self-disciplined, meticulous, and capable of working independently or as a team.
- Proficient in MS Excel; familiarity with accounting software like Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
