Job Summary:
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technological advancements and ensure the seamless operation of our cutting-edge software solutions. As the CTO, you will be responsible for shaping the company's technology strategy, overseeing the development and implementation of innovative tools, and ensuring the robustness and scalability of our platforms. Your technical leadership and deep understanding of quantitative trading will be crucial in maintaining Croomburg's competitive edge and supporting our growth objectives.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Technology Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with Croomburg's mission and business goals.
  • Identify emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance our software solutions and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence within the technology team.

2. Product Development and Innovation:

  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of our proprietary trading platforms and software tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and methodologies to improve product performance and user experience.

3. Infrastructure and Security:

  • Ensure the robustness, scalability, and security of the company's technology infrastructure.
  • Implement best practices for data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Oversee disaster recovery planning and risk management for technology-related incidents.

4. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing technology team, providing mentorship and support to foster professional growth.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration within the technology department.
  • Encourage diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of team development and operations.

5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Work closely with the CEO and other senior executives to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and investors, to advocate for the company's technology vision.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers.

Qualifications:

1. Education:

  • A master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A strong background in quantitative methods or financial engineering is highly desirable.

2. Experience:

  • Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or a similar senior technology leadership role within a quantitative investment or fintech company.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading technology teams and delivering complex software solutions.

3. Skills and Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of quantitative trading strategies, financial markets, and technology trends.
  • Proficiency in software development, data analytics, and cloud computing technologies.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

4. Ethics and Compliance:

  • A strong commitment to upholding ethical standards and compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
