Job Responsibilities:
- Design and develop APIs to enable seamless communication between different software systems.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to create APIs using programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or .NET.
- Ensure that APIs are well-documented and follow industry standards and best practices.
- Integrate APIs with existing systems and third-party services.
- Work with front-end and back-end developers to ensure seamless integration of APIs into applications.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms to secure APIs.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure the functionality and reliability of APIs.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
- Monitor the performance and health of APIs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API functionality and performance.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates to keep APIs current and functional.
- Work closely with stakeholders, including product managers, business analysts, and other developers, to understand API requirements and specifications.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Job Requirements:
1. Knowledge and experience in design & development of system-to-system integration specifically using REST and Host-to-Host (SFTP-based).
2. Knowledge and experience in working with API management platform.
3. Knowledge and experience in Java programming.
4. Knowledge and experience in other programming language is good to have.
5. Experience in implementing file or message integration such as SFTP, Message Queue is good to have
6. Experience in message parsing and transformation such as XML, JSON or flat file
7. Experience in Cloud PAAS services such as Logic App, Function App and Service Bus is good to have
8. Experience in source version control such as Git or SVN.
9. Experience in various software testing such as unit testing, integration testing, load testing is good to have
10. Knowledge in DevOps such as implementing or using CI/CD pipelines is good to have
11. Knowledge in infrastructure and networking such as virtual network, network security and firewalls is good to have
12. Experience in agile development is good to have
