We are looking for a seasoned finance practitioner to join the senior management team. Although coming from the built environment sector is preferred, having a proven track record working in multi-project management businesses will be more essential. This is because you are expected to provide finance leadership in tracking cash flow, planning and analysing our project financial strengths and weaknesses and to propose strategic finance directions. Besides have strong line accountability to the Chief Executive Officer, you will report to the Executive Chairman as well. Your day-to-day tasks are not exclusive to below:
- Plan, assign, coordinate and manage work of finance staff responsible for budgeting, auditing, and accounting, locally and regionally.
- Coordinate the month-end closing process in conjunction with company guidelines.
- Oversee closing process and ensure that deadline for submission of financial statements is adhered to.
- Review monthly financial reports before submission.
- Review management reports before submission to management.
- Present accurate financial information monthly along with your analysis and explanation of material variances.
- Prepare forecast and budgets within company guidelines.
- Facilitate the annual financial statement external audit.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and work with finance staff to ensure a high performance.
- Review and ensure appropriate internal controls are in place locally and regionally for areas of responsibilities.
- Manage the professional development of all direct reports.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate Department’s plans, policies, and procedures to achieve annual goals and work standards.
- Signs checks and approves payments.
To succeed in this role, you should have more than 10 years of similar experience in managing financial budgets of multiple projects. Academically, you should hold a recognised finance degree but having a Chartered Public Accountant accreditation will be advantageous. We are looking for candidates who are not only hands-on but possess a “CAN DO” attitude and traits in organizational and strategic agility. This candidate should also have good team leadership to inspire, motivate and support his/her direct reports.
