Your Role
As a Commercial Business Analyst, you will be responsible for providing insightful analysis and actionable recommendations to support the commercial strategies and decision-making processes within our organization. You will work closely with various stakeholders to understand business needs, analyze data, and develop reports to drive business growth and profitability. The role is reporting to Head of Business Analysis & Decision Support.
What You Do
- Conduct detailed analysis of commercial data, including sales, market trends, and customer behavior, to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimization, and market expansion.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support pricing strategies, product launches, and other commercial initiatives.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of commercial projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and performance targets.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Computing, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, with a focus on mathematics or statistics. A Master's degree in a relevant field or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CBAP) may be advantageous.
- 3-5 years of experience in a commercial business analysis role, with previous experience in Life Science, Consulting, or Banking & Finance considered a strong asset.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, data modeling, and statistical analysis functions.
- Experience with Python and SQL programming for data manipulation and database management.
- Working experience with Data Lake platforms such as Palantir, Snowflake, Data Iku is considered advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
- Experience in project planning, risk management, and performance tracking to ensure successful project execution.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex data and analysis in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships across different teams and departments.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Detail-oriented and capable of working with large datasets to extract meaningful insights.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial drivers and market dynamics.
