Division Summary:
Global Markets (GM) is responsible for all secondary market trading and sales activities in Commodities and Financial Markets (FIC) across the Bank’s international footprint.
Job Purpose:
16-week internship with the Global Markets team in Singapore.
This role is to provide support to the Singapore Business Management team. Business Management team provide support to the Global Markets business including support of new products, providing business analysis, performance measurements.
Individual will have the opportunity to learn about the Global Markets Metals and FIC business markets across the Asia pacific region.
Also gain experience working in Business Management team liaising with support areas and other key stakeholders in Singapore, Shanghai and London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare management information and presentations to support business development
- Identify and introduce efficiencies in processes in Business Management team
- Document spreadsheets and VBA macros
- Conduct basic market research including Asia-pacific countries, and review specific target Clients / Sectors
- Ad hoc projects
- Maintain an awareness of and comply with all Anti Money Laundering laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to ICBC Standard Bank
- Ensure adherence to all group standards / policies
Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Values:
- Studying for a degree in Business, Accounting, Finance
- Advanced excel knowledge including macros
