QA Manager for a leading licenced service provider of end-to-end e-waste solutions
Your new company
- My client is a leading licenced service provider of end-to-end e-waste solutions in Asia. They specialise in electric vehicle (EV) end-of-life lithium-ion battery management and recycling, aiming to maximise economic and environmental welfare through transparent, value-based approaches. Additionally, my client focusses on upcycling initiatives to create more value from e-waste materials and contribute to environmental sustainability by reducing the need for new raw materials' extraction.
Your new role
Management of Incoming Materials:
- Receive reports on incoming materials.
- Control and maintain equipment used in the QA Department.
Support Production:
- Assist the Production Department with process and quality issues.
- Analyse non-conformances related to quality, working with production personnel to prevent recurrence.
- Record and verify corrective actions for non-conforming products.
Customer Complaints and Inspections:
- Investigate customer complaints and raise 8D reports for non-conformance issues.
- Perform incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections, maintaining records.
Quality Plans and Data Analysis:
- Establish quality plans to meet customer requirements.
- Analyse data for continuous quality improvement.
ISO & Audit:
- Participate in audit teams.
- Implement quality and environmental systems.
- Prepare for customer or third-party audits and follow-up actions.
- Conduct supplier audits with the Purchasing Department.
Training :
- Identify training needs for the department.
- Train QA personnel and facilitate cross-training.
Reports and Risk Management:
- Generate and analyse timely reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to establish raw material quality requirements.
- Address risks within the department.
Authority of the personnel:
- Stop production if defects are detected.
- Halt instrument use if out of calibration.
- Ensure inspections are completed before dispatch.
- Approve finished goods for delivery.
- Verify QA purchase requests.
- Update QA SOPs as needed.
- Seek management approval for staff recruitment or termination in QA roles.
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Chemistry or Material Science preferred.
- 2–3 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
- Good leadership & communication skills.
- Knowledge of QC tools, concepts & methodologies will be an advantage.
- Attention to detail & demonstrating good analytical skills for problem-solving & analysis.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS and ISO 14001 EMS is essential but not compulsory.
