We are looking for a Research Fellow to work on the project titled "Optical Innovations in Stereochemistry: Developing Diverse Optical Strategies for Enantiomer Separation”.
The Research Fellow will work on the project for the development of optical strategies for enantiomer separation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identification of socially important enantiomers for separation and detection (i.e. Thalidomide)
- Develop optical theories and concepts for the separation and detection of enantiomers
- Develop chiral optical devices and systems necessary that selectively imparts energy to the desired enantiomer
- Develop hybrid micro-fluidic/optical flow systems
- Develop test setups for micro-fluidic/optical test setups
Job Requirement
- PhD in chemical engineering
- Chemical synthesis
- Photonic device, and system design
- Ability to publish in academic journals, and present in conferences
- Ability to work well in a team, and collaborate with other research groups
- Production of photonic layouts using gdsfactory
- Knowledgeable in MATLAB and Python is necessary
- Knowledgeable in Ansys Lumerical FDTD, MODE, INTERCONNECT, CML COMPILER, MULTIPHYSICS
- Prior experience in the above will be a bonus
