Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis:
- Extract, clean, and analyse large and complex datasets using SQL and advanced analytical techniques
- Develop and implement sophisticated data models and machine learning algorithms to solve business challenges and forecast trends
- Apply statistical methods and data mining techniques to uncover insights and identify patterns in diverse datasets
Reporting:
- Create and maintain comprehensive reports and interactive dashboards that convey data insights and support strategic decision-making
- Develop advanced visualizations to effectively communicate complex data findings to stakeholders at all levels
- Ensure high accuracy and relevance of reporting outputs, with a focus on delivering actionable intelligence
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and marketing, to understand their analytical needs and provide data-driven solutions
- Offer expert advice on data-related issues and best practices, contributing to the development and execution of data-driven strategies
- Present complex data insights in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics and machine learning
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement innovative solutions to advance data reporting and analytical capabilities
- Advocate for the adoption of new tools and methodologies to improve data analysis and decision-making processes
Key Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in data analytics or machine learning are highly desirable
Experience:
- Proven experience in advanced data extraction, transformation, and analysis with databases such as MySQL or Greenplum (GP)
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing complex data models, statistical methods, and machine learning algorithms
- Experience in creating and managing detailed reports and dashboards using data visualization
