Responsibilities:
- Support the R&D General Manager in setting departmental goals and ensuring staff meet these objectives.
- Drive company profit by studying and focusing on the yearly budget and targets.
- Manage daily R&D operations to ensure departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure the R&D section operates in compliance with QMS and FSMS standards.
- Develop and present proposals to internal and external stakeholders; oversee project completion.
- Drive product development and enhancement initiatives based on market trends and customer feedback.
- Develop and test new product formulations considering taste, texture, and shelf stability to meet market demands.
- Evaluate and select raw materials in accordance with local and international regulatory requirements.
- Keep track of ongoing projects and progress, and prepare related reports on a regular basis – quarterly, bi-yearly, etc.
- Conduct cross-departmental discussions to develop strategies and operations for more effective proposal and product roll-out launches.
- Manage multiple assignments and technical projects concurrently, with the ability to prioritize among various business initiatives.
- Promote ADEKA products through effective demonstrations and presentations to customers.
- Make occasional business trips to provide technical support and training to customers.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by superiors when required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Food Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D within a food manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in product development, from concept to commercialization.
- Experience in managing or leading small teams is preferred.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel overseas when necessary.
