Overview
We are looking for an experienced and visionary Associate Director to manage the development and delivery of IT solutions as well as lead the IT department supporting our business and digital objectives. You will be responsible for defining the IT/Digital strategy and roadmap, managing IT/Digital projects, ensuring overall network security and compliance, and leading the team of IT professionals.
As an Associate Director, you are required to communicate effectively with senior management, internal stakeholders, vendors, and external partners, and ensure alignment of IT vision and goals with the business needs and expectations.
To be successful in this role, you will also need to have excellent project management, problem solving, and leadership skills, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. You will also have experience in managing IT products and services, such as cloud-based applications, lab information systems, privileged access management, network and wireless technologies, server and storage solutions, firewall and authentication systems, and endpoint protection and threat detection tools.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the IT/Digital strategy and product vision aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain strategic product roadmap.
- Manage and execute IT projects within budget, scope, and timeline.
- Ensure IT security and compliance with relevant standards and conduct regular audits.
- Lead and develop a high-performance IT team.
- Manage IT vendors and negotiate service agreements.
- Monitor and improve IT performance, addressing risks and issues proactively.
- Conduct market and user research to inform product requirements.
- Prioritise product features based on business value and user impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for cohesive product development.
- Plan and coordinate product launches and go-to-market strategies.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success.
- Analyse data to derive insights and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders on product status and changes.
- Implement and manage advanced cybersecurity measures and train staff on best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT/Digital, with at least 3 years in a senior management or leadership role.
- Professional certifications in IT security, such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent.
- Expertise in Cisco and Fortinet technologies, and proficiency in other IT technologies and platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of IT industry standards, such as ISO9001, ISO20000 (ITIL/ITSM), ISO27001 & NIST, and their practical application.
- Proven experience in product management, including developing and executing product strategies and roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of market research and user research methodologies.
- Experience in defining and prioritising product features based on business value and user needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with engineering, design, marketing, and other teams.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex and large-scale IT projects and products.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and ability to Influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and ability to handle ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and people management skills, and ability to inspire and motivate others.
