Job Title: Production Drafter (ID4614)
Location: : Tuas
Working Hours: Mon to Fri 8.00am-5.00pm
Salary: $3500-$4500
Role Summary
1. Responsible for Drafting the Product Drawings preferably related to Elastomers and Engineering Plastics.
2. Responsible for Drafting the Drawings for Moulds, Tools and Fixtures.
3. Responsible for the coordination of Product Development related activities
Responsibilities / Duties / Job Description / Job Scope
1. Design of products related to Engineering Plastics and Elastomeric Components.
2. Design of Moulds and Tools with complete 3D models and detailed drawings for the manufacturing of Elastomeric components
3. Preparation of detailed drawings for the newly designed components for customer testing and evaluation
4. Design of jigs and fixtures for continuous improvement with respect to productivity and the process sustenance.
5. Liaise with mould makers and update newly fabricated tools status.
6. Follow up on the process issues related to new and existing tooling.
7. Provide inputs in the Quality Circle meetings related to elastomeric components.
8. Provide inputs and support the implementation of 5S.
9. Contribute positively/proactively towards the team’s and the company’s objectives.
10. Ability to Draft Part Drawings related to Elastomers and Engineering Plastics.
11. Ability to Draft Drawings for Moulds and Fixtures related to Elastomers and Engineering Plastics.
12. Ability to understand the machining processes associated with the fabrication of the Moulds/tools/fixtures
13. Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
14. Good verbal and written communication skills and details oriented.
15. Understanding of Elastomeric and Engineering Plastics materials.
16. Understanding of the manufacturing processes for Elastomeric Products.
17. Understanding of the machining process for Engineering Plastics Products and Metallic Materials.
18. Understanding of the relevant product standards and Quality Systems
Education / Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Personality
1. Diploma/Degree with Design experience preferably in Elastomer manufacturing environment preferred
2. Proficient in Design Software such as Solid Works
3. Capable of handling Manufacturing Software such as MasterCam.
4. Able to clearly understand the requirements of Engineering Drawings.
5. Exposure to the CNC programming and the Machining environment.
6. Good exposure to Materials with some knowledge in the area of Polymers/Elastomers/Plastics.
7. Good exposure to the Manufacturing processes relevant to Polymers/Elastomers/Plastics.
8. Production floor and Office environment.
9. Communication and meticulous follow up.
10. Proactive thinking and open-minded.
11. Willingness to learn new ideas/processes and be a good team player.
