Job Summary:
- Oversee daily accounting operations for clients engaged in commodity trading.
- Lead the month-end and year-end financial closing and reporting procedures.
- Compile consolidated financial statements, support audit activities, and maintain internal controls.
Job Duties:
- Manage accounting tasks including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), bank reconciliations, and general ledger duties.
- Generate the organisation’s financial statements and conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Handle transactions and reconciliations
- Perform Consolidation Reporting
- File Quarterly Goods and Services Tax (GST).
- Calculate and file taxes.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and professional advisors
- Evaluate income, expenditures, capital, cash flow, and other vital financial indicators to advise on their immediate and long-term effects on business operations.
- Administer management fee transactions, including both charging and recharging between entities.
- Facilitate and oversee the completion of external audits for managed entities.
- Develop and update procedural documentation.
- Offer strategic leadership and impact high-level decision-making with comprehensive financial analysis.
- Ensure the efficient onboarding of local vendors, timely processing of invoices, and expense reports.
- Document accounting procedures and support internal stakeholder inquiries and analyses as needed.
- Aggregate data from various company databases to develop and update financial models.
- Identify and escalate operational control deficiencies, proposing risk mitigation strategies.
- Undertake additional tasks as necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CPA)
- 2-5 years working experience with Accounting and reporting
- Strong accounting fundamentals and reporting knowledge
- Strong knowledge in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards, taxation, hedging, transfer pricing and mark-to-market (MTM) accounting
