Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Group Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting and financing functions, including consolidation of group accounting reports, handling statutory audits, tax matters, and implementing new ERP solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and experience working with ERP systems. Big 4 experience is highly desirable.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consolidate group accounting reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS
- Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants
- Prepare and review full set of accounts, including monthly consolidated financial statements and accounts schedules
- Handle GST filing and review, corporate tax computations, and monthly cash flow forecasts
- Prepare budgets and forecasts
- Assist in implementing new ERP solutions, focusing on finance and accounting modules
- Review the Group Chart of Accounts, ensuring consistent implementation within the Group ERP system
- Collaborate with internal departments and overseas finance teams on monthly financial closing
- Continuously improve work processes, internal controls, and other business drivers
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
- Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards
- Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by Management
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Accountancy, CPA, and/or CA
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data modelling
- Experience in ERP systems and their implementation (highly desirable)
- Strong team player with an independent work ethic and strong drive to complete assigned tasks and projects
- Experience with full set accounts
- Big 4 experience (highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial regulations
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
