Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and proactive individual to join our team as a Procurement Coordinator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily purchasing activities, managing procurement records, and ensuring adherence to Halal Regulations and Standards. This role involves liaising with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues, source products, and negotiate the best prices. The Procurement Coordinator will also prepare purchase orders and manage incoming shipments, ensuring timely delivery of all items.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily purchasing activities for both the Purchasing and the outlets.
- Resolve any vendor-related issues including defects, shortages, and missing products.
- Maintain and manage purchasing master data information and systems.
- Maintain procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery details, product quality, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with Halal Regulations and Standards in all procurement activities.
- Coordinate and liaise with requestors and suppliers throughout the purchasing process, monitoring deliveries to ensure timely arrival.
- Prepare purchase orders and documents following the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Source and negotiate for the best prices for goods and services.
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers and forwarders for incoming shipments and collaborate with internal departments to manage payments.
- Perform any other duties as required.
Requirements
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic computer skills.
- GCE N & O level or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant working experience preferred.
