Overall Role:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Broking Support. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in handling broking documentations within the reinsurance broking industry, along with relevant insurance certifications as per MAS 502 requirements. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with our broking team, supporting various facets of the cedant facultative reinsurance process (all lines of business).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to the facultative broking team in managing documentation processes, including but not limited to cover notes, signed slips, endorsements, and EOCs preparation and ensure accurate data entry into the broking system.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including underwriters and claims professionals, to ensure timely and accurate completion of broking documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of submission documents, proposals, and presentations for clients and reinsurers.
- Maintain organised records of all broking activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments such as finance and operations to facilitate seamless transaction processing.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market developments to enhance broking support services.
- Handle ad-hoc administrative tasks and projects as assigned by management / brokers (including travel / conference arrangements).
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in handling broking documentations within the reinsurance industry.
- Possess relevant insurance certifications as per MAS 502 requirements (e.g., CGI, ACII, CPCU, etc.).
- Strong understanding of cedant facultative reinsurance processes and documentation requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with reinsurance software and platforms is a plus.
