Job Description:


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Planning Manager to lead our strategic planning efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and assessing strategic initiatives, analyzing performance metrics, and guiding our team towards achieving our organizational goals. Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Development: Create and execute comprehensive strategic plans that align with our long-term objectives and vision.


Performance Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of organizational performance and market trends, develop KPIs and provide actionable insights to senior management.

Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the Strategic Planning team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and address strategic issues.

Program Assessment: Evaluate existing programs and initiatives, and propose improvements based on performance data and emerging trends.

Reporting: Develop and present detailed reports on programmes and services, performance metrics, and progress towards goals.

Project Management: Oversee key projects related to strategic planning.


Examples:

o Oversee the Annual and Mid-year Work Plan exercises. Review new

programmes/initiatives

o Manage the consolidation of program outreach for the SINDA Annual report

o Develop and implement a Strategic Planning Manual

o Plan and organize work plan retreat sessions for the management team


Secretariat Support: Provide secretariat support for key management meetings (quarterly and annually).

Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the strategic planning function.


Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Management or a related field


Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic planning or management roles, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex projects.


Skills: Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.


Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools such as Power BI. Experience with strategic planning software is a plus.


Knowledge: In-depth understanding of strategic planning processes and market analysis.


Requirements:


This is a 2-year contract position, convertible to a permanent role.
