Role Summary

Join our innovative team as a Manufacturing Engineer in our Membrane Module Production Team in Singapore. You will be responsible for driving the development and optimization of our hollow-fiber membrane modules, focusing on design, assembly, and process improvements. You will work closely with dedicated teams of engineers, scientists, and production staff to execute development projects and contribute to the advancement of our core technology. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing our manufacturing processes and supporting R&D and piloting activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform membrane module manufacturing, including fibre handling, potting, cutting, and other processes into finished goods.
• Identify opportunities for design enhancements, including providing recommendations for optimizing membrane module design considering mechanical, operational, chemical, and fluid dynamics aspects.
• Identify opportunities for improving and refining the hollow fibre membrane module assembly processes, including developing potting procedures, glue formulations, and refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production and assembly processes.
• Design of experiments and conduct module characterization tests, including pressure, module safe handling and operation procedures, mechanical assessments, and etc.
• Assisting with hollow fibre membrane production, fibre characterization and testing, as a supporting role.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs, and maintain documentation of processes, test results, and improvements.
• Work closely with dedicated teams of engineers and experts to execute development projects and drive them through the development process.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the company's core technology, including performing physical and chemical characterization, module development, process optimization, and scale-up processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Demonstrate the ability to take on additional responsibilities and grow within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in membrane fabrication, module design, and module assembly process and quality control procedures.
• Demonstrable experience in hollow-fiber membranes, hollow-fiber membrane modules, potting procedures, and glue formulation.
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, chemical processes, and mechanical design related to membrane modules is an advantage.
• Familiarity with process simulation and optimization software, and operation of equipment for chemical and mechanical characterization is an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to present technical information clearly and concisely to various audiences.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
• Eagerness to take on additional responsibilities and grow within the organization.
