Technical Support Engineer (Store Support)

⇒ Main Responsibilities

  • Simulate failures for further analysis of failing device.
  • Implement operation and maintenance solution in-time and effectively to fulfil customers' requirement and solve technical issue.
  • Construct and maintain up-to-date problem database to ensure accurate and sufficient information for maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Perform on-site survey.
  • Install, configure and upgrade hardware and software for optimal performance.
  • Perform acceptance testing of installed / upgraded equipment.
  • Induct and train users on using and optimising hardware / software applications.
  • Supervise routine hardware and software checks of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Review and report on service uptime, performance and utilisation of infrastructure systems.
  • Ensure that projects are in compliance with overall project or SLA scope and set quality standards.
  • Plan, oversee and report review diagnostics, troubleshooting and recovery processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement operation and maintenance solution in-time and effectively to fulfil customers' requirement and solve technical issue.


⇒ Key Priorities & Challenges

  • Establish operating plans, procedures and processes for daily operations.
  • Coordinate with various vendors on setup schedule and scope of work (SOW).
  • Obtain quotation from vendor base on the SOW.
  • Check daily outstanding log.
  • Monitor, identify and resolve store IT infrastructure and system operation issues.
  • Follow up aging ticket with relevant team and vendor.
  • Constant upgrade to align with the growing information technology landscape.
  • Monitor and support month end closing related issue.
  • Maintain and update IT inventory in monthly basic.
  • Maintain IT assets list.
  • Maintain IT procurement submission.


⇒ Qualifications & Experience


  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Industry certification is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, as need to closely work with stakeholders, vendors and other IT Cross Functional Teams and Vendors.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous, organised and able to thrive under pressure.
  • Able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solution-oriented attitude.
