You would be responsible for meeting sales targets, developing new business and maintaining excellent client relations. You are to actively engage with clients by customer fronting, presentations, and service updates. The business nature is one of a high-volume nature and multi-transactional marine service offering with special focus within the Singapore port. A motivated individual who has been in a hunting role in chartering, commercial or sales would be advantageous.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, the ideal candidate will possess excellent sales and interpersonal skills and thrive on driving customer commitment and revenue growth.
Duties:
- Develop sales leads, focus on revenue retention and revenue growth to meet, and exceed sales targets.
- Conduct market research and industry trends for sales pipeline.
- Conduct cold-calling for sales prospecting.
- Follow client relationship management practices and build relationships with relevant decision makers and their respective teams.
- Negotiate agreement within a defined range of commercial, operational parameters and prepare contracts
- Prepare sales reports and support analysis for department.
- Able to conduct multi-modal sales outreach programs (Direct mailers, social media and embedded web content etc.)
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma (with experience) in marine related studies /Business or Marketing.
- Possess a good proven sales track record.
- 6-8 years of experience in Sales.
- Experience of Sales within the marine industry – ideally with a focus on high volume, multi-transaction marine services sales experience.
- A self-driven professional and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Understanding of port or ocean-going towages with previous experience in the tug industry would be an added advantage.
