Senior Visual Merchandising and Events Manager, SEAA

Reporting to Head of Marketing and Communications, the incumbent will be responsible to reinforce the brand equity and awareness, across South East Asia and Australia & New Zealand (SEAA), as the ultimate pinnacle of the House is key element in achieving our vision. To achieve this, we need to present the most luxurious brand image and offer the ultimate visual presentation in our boutiques and offsite, showcasing the vitality of our creation, supporting the storytelling of our creations, and elevating the client journey.


Continuing to build comprehensive capabilities to drive brand and client growth, with a clear long-term ambition to establish key capabilities within each market in the region. He/she is expected to:

  • Elevate the brand experience by guaranteeing an exceptional visual impact and storytelling in all visual touchpoints.
  • Lead and guide stellar events execution in all SEAA markets, according to global brand guidelines and upholding Chanel’s standards.
  • Guide, support, and implement regional visual merchandising strategies in alignment with the brand’s global guidelines and objectives.
  • Lead and inspire a community of visual merchandisers, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement sharing best practices.
  • Provide guidance and training to store managers and visual merchandising teams on brand standards, product presentation techniques, and visual storytelling.
  • Act as a liaison between the local teams and global visual merchandising team, providing feedback, insights, and sharing best practices for continuous improvement and incorporate local specificities.
  • Support and guide the planning and execution of all clients’ events in SEAA, including offsite events, mall podiums, brand image events and VIP experiences, in collaboration with the marketing and clienteling team.
  • Look for productivity and cost savings by regrouping regional visual merchandising and events production needs when possible.
  • Act as the brand custodian with store layout for boutique openings and renovations in SEAA, in order to optimize layout efficiency, client flow and products visibility.
  • Seek feedback from store teams and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and identify enhancement opportunities to elevate the overall store experience.
  • Responsible for managing the regional visual merchandising and events budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to share insights, trends, and recommendations with senior management to drive data-driven decisions.
  • Conduct regular analysis of store performance metrics, including sales data, footfall, and customer feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of visual merchandising strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Champion the sustainability efforts by collaborating closely with the Sustainability team and be the guarantor of Chanel sustainability standards in all events and visual merchandising execution.
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey ideas and collaborate with stakeholders across all the levels within the organisation.

Academic/Professional Qualifications

  • University degree in Arts or equivalent

Work Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of proven track record in Visual Merchandising and Events Management within the luxury retail industry.
  • Good understanding of visual merchandising principles with a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Solid expertise / operational know-how of visual merchandising and store operations and understanding of market specificities.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously with good organisational and project management skills.
  • Fluency in English is a must, additional knowledge of an Asian language would be advantageous.
