As Novo Nordisk continues the journey in driving change to defeat Diabetes, Obesity and Rare Diseases, we are looking for our new Senior Director Commercial Affairs & Strategy to join our team in the Business Area South East Asia (BASEA).

The position

As our Senior Director Commercial Affairs & Strategy for BASEA (Business Area Southeast Asia), you will be at the heart of Novo Nordisk’s future growth and success. You will spearhead strategic initiatives, long term planning, collaborate across all tiers of the commercial structure to pinpoint business prospects, and guide a team in seizing pivotal opportunities within the realm of Diabetes, Obesity and Rare Disease including new therapy area development and business development. You will play a crucial role in BASEA’s strategic ambition “Transform to Accelerate” by executing our strategic priorities, preparing for future new launches within the affiliates, fostering innovation through adept cross-functional collaboration.


Your core responsibilities will be:

  • Overall responsible for formulating BASEA portfolio approach with clear guidance to Affiliates and for monitoring adherence to agreed principles.
  • Responsible for future launch roadmaps, market development strategy, overseeing launch excellence and post-launch execution across BASEA.
  • Responsible for monitoring market and competitor dynamics across markets and turning insights into actionable advice and guidance.
  • Overall responsible for securing fact-based development of BASEA main strategic focus areas and propose, manage and implement actions to pursue these.
  • Responsible for addressing market access challenges including advising BASEA CVP and guiding Affiliates during major price and reimbursement negotiations with payers and healthcare authorities.
  • Overall responsible for Commercial Effectiveness in BASEA, including guidance to the affiliates on incentive schemes and KPIs, dedicated CE assessments and consultancy on optimal share of voice, field force sizing and resource allocation.
  • Responsible for optimizing customer engagement and relationship management, ensuring customer engagement execution is on track to support company sales and marketing objectives, and aligning with overall business goals

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or other relevant academic background in business, economics or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience within commercial healthcare functions. Both local and senior international management preferred including at least 5 years in developing strategies and executing in marketing and market access
  • Experience from working in several geographies and from serving roles in several functional layers
  • Proven record for successfully handling multiple complex projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience in delivering business objectives in alignment with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in effectively and persuasively articulating complex issues to key decision makers
  • Experience in analyzing complex issues, utilizing strategic thinking and implementing tactical plans
  • Proven people management skills for direct reports and in matrix organization lines with multiple hierarchal levels
