Position: Network and IT Systems Engineer
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- System Design and Implementation: Design and implement broadcast network and IT systems, including servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and storage solutions.
- Network Management: Manage and maintain network and IT systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and uptime.
- Technical Issue Resolution: Collaborate with other teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to broadcast and IT systems.
- Vendor Coordination: Work with vendors to evaluate and select new technologies and equipment for network and IT systems.
- Documentation: Develop, maintain, and update documentation related to network and IT systems to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Technical Training: Provide technical training and support to staff as needed to enhance their understanding and usage of network and IT systems.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in network and infrastructure engineering, specifically within a broadcast environment.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, RTP, and SMPTE 2022.
- Expertise in managing and maintaining Cisco network equipment, including routers and switches.
- Experience with broadcast technologies, including SDI, AES, and MADI.
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V.
- Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
