Primary Responsibility:
1. Oversee company’s QMS and its implementation.
2. Manage assignment of Project QC team and support them during execution of project.
3. Liaison with clients on QAQC matters.
4. Prepare ITP, PQP and project specific procedures.
5. Communicate the engineering/technical/quality requirement to the direct workforce who are on the job.
6. Verify that incoming materials meet the requirement.
7. Supervise piping fabrication, structural fabrication, Piping installation, testing.
8. Ensure Inspection at shop facilities and worksites, on blasting, painting works, galvanizing or other
9. installation works per ASME and other relevant codes.
10. Ensure joint preparations, fit-up alignment, dimensional tolerances, and visual check on weld. Are done as per project requirements.
11. Liaise with NDT sub-contractors.
12. Follow-up on corrective action of non-conforming products.
13. Conduct welding procedures qualification tests and welders’ performance qualification tests.
14. Implement and monitor proper storage, handling and usage of welding equipment and welding filter rods.
15. Ensure final document preparation and handover to client are in line with contractual requirement
Additional Responsibility:
1. Assign daily job to the workers, monitor welding progress, prepare daily progress report.
2. Handle purchasing of materials and consumable.
3. Conduct tool box talk, co-ordinate permit-to work system with client, monitor timely start-work
4. Monitor safe work practice during work execution, Participate in Risk Assessment preparation and implementation.
Qualification and experience:
1. Bachelor degree in Engineering/Arts/Business/Administration
2. Preferred-Welding Inspector certification-AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1
3. Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with similar projects
4. Candidates not meeting above qualification requirement but having more than 10 years of experience in above filed of work, may be considered.
