Job Overview:
They are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Fromager to join their team as a Retail Sales Executive. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our cheese outlet, providing excellent customer service, and sharing your expertise on cheese selection, storage, and pairing. You will play a key role in ensuring our customers enjoy the best cheese experience possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with selecting cheeses, offering tasting samples, and providing expert advice on cheese varieties, pairings, and storage.
- Drive sales by promoting featured cheeses, offering recommendations, and upselling complementary products such as crackers, wines, and condiments.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the different types of cheeses, including their origins, flavors, and ideal pairings.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders for cheese and other products, and ensure the outlet is well-stocked and organized.
- Keep the cheese display clean, attractive, and well-organized, ensuring that all products are fresh and properly labeled.
- Build relationships with regular customers, understand their preferences, and offer personalized recommendations.
- Conduct occasional cheese tastings and workshops to educate customers about various cheese types and how to enjoy them.
Requirements:
- Passion for cheese and gourmet foods
- Strong customer service skills
- Sales experience, preferably in a retail setting
- Knowledge of different cheese types, their origins, and pairings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Basic understanding of inventory management and stock control
