Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and other IT infrastructure components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across the infrastructure.
- Monitor the performance and availability of IT systems and networks, using monitoring tools to detect and address issues proactively.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as software updates, patch management, and hardware upgrades.
- Respond to infrastructure-related incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
- Document and track incidents, their resolutions, and any required follow-up actions.
- Assist end-users with technical issues related to infrastructure, including access to network resources, file storage, and printer setup.
- Provide training and guidance to users on best practices for using IT infrastructure securely and effectively.
Job Requirements:
- Operating Systems: Proficiency in managing Windows, Linux, and/or Unix operating systems.
- Networking: Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewall management.
- Hardware: Experience with server hardware, storage solutions, and networking equipment (e.g., switches, routers).
- Virtualization: Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
- Backup and Recovery: Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Experience in providing technical support for IT infrastructure in a medium to large-scale environment.
- Prior experience in roles such as IT support, systems administration, or network administration.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with users and technical teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
