Job Description:
- Identify and acquire the necessary hardware (servers, workstations, networking equipment) and software licenses to support the operation processes by staying updated on the latest technologies.
- Ensures the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure.
- With regular maintenance of servers, workstations, and the network, implementing security measures to protect against cyber threats, and performing data backups to ensure disaster recovery."
- Provide Technical support to the employees, addressing issues they face with their computers, software, and network connectivity.
- Drafts and implements IT policies that govern how employees use technology within the company. Covering areas like acceptable use of company computers and internet, data security protocols, and software licensing procedures.
- Execute training programs to educate employees on the proper use of IT systems and security protocols.
- Identify and evaluate third-party vendors for IT services like cloud storage, software maintenance, or network security solutions. Negotiate contracts with these vendors to ensure the best possible value for the company.
- To maintain communication and a positive working relationship with the chosen vendors, ensuring they deliver the promised services effectively. This may involve troubleshooting any issues that arise with the vendor's services.
- To liaise with internal IT management to understand the specific needs and challenges faced by different departments within the company (engineering, production, finance etc.). This helps tailor the general IT policies to address these departmental needs while maintaining central control.
- Internal IT team to have an alignment with parent company IT manager to ensure the proposed policies align with existing central guidelines or best practices.
- Opportunities to leverage resources or support available from the parent company's IT department. Communication helps identify potential areas of collaboration and avoid duplication of efforts.
Job Requirements :
1) Minimum ITE/Diploma in Infocomm Security, Cybersecurity or other related fields.
2) Attitude – IT Executive is dedicated and has interest to work in the IT trade and is willing to put in the extra time and effort to build their knowledge and experience.
3) Good Problem Solver – IT executive requires to think critically and carefully to resolve issues which plays a key part of the role in this industry.
4) Troubleshooting - Identifying problems and finding ways to resolve bugs by defining the gaps and apply different case scenarios environment with applicable solutions.
5) Well Disciplined – Meet hard deadlines and work to strict schedules, as this role requires to work on projects alongside coworkers and 3rd party vendors. *IT Project occurs after working hours/weekends to avoid interruptions to operation.
6) Active Listener – Meet 5 Key Elements (Pay Attention/Show that you are listening /Provide feedback/ Defer Judgement/Respond Appropriately) and apply knowledge on field.
7) Documentation – Create/Update documentation on all existing/new setup and work well as part of a team.
8) Good presentation and communication skills.
9) Experience in setting polices on Firewall/Endpoint is an advantage.
10) Comfortable to work at HQ West area, Joo Koon and extension site at Jurong Port Road.
