Roles & Responsibilities
Provide an overview of the nature of the role and how the role contributes to the department and company goals
The primary responsibility of the IT Project Manager is to coordinate technology initiatives as part of an organization-wide digital transformation program. This role involves supporting digitalization efforts from ideation through to solution design, implementation and deployment. The IT Project Manager works closely with process owners, subject matter experts, and technical teams to deliver projects that lead to impactful changes.
- Lead the implementation of an appropriate project management methodology, standards, and tools to drive and facilitate the successful delivery of projects
- Ensure the PMO meets performance targets to align with the organization’s strategic objectives and adhere to best practices.
- Manage the risks, and work with other leaders to take corrective action as needed.
- Implement effective governance processes for acceptance of projects based on sound business cases
- Provide SG market leaders with the information needed to assess which proposals have the highest potential value, impact, and strategic alignment.
- Interface with SG market leaders to define project priorities, user requirements and implementation opportunities and challenges and keep them up to date with project risks and opportunities.
- Oversee Project KPIs, monitor performance against standards and take timely corrective actions
- Review project schedule, quality, cost deliverables and resource utilisation
- Regular monitoring & reporting of project performance and progress to all stake holders
- Coordinate documentation and administration across Program Management Office
- Lead, guide and support the direct reports by setting expectations, manage performance and development
- Provide technical consultation on system development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, User Acceptance Testing, User training etc.)
- Ensure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly.
- Manage the program’s budget, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realized benefits as the program progresses
Skills & Requirements
- Degree in Electronics Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business partnering with strong project management skills, stakeholder engagement acumen, vendor management skills and delivery services
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing an outsourced IT infrastructure and application development operations
- Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project
- Experience with an extensive range of IT operating systems (Microsoft Power Platform development including Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Productivity software and O365 applications)
- Good understanding of SaaS applications (Time attendance System, Online Form, Applicant Tracking System and Human Resource Management System)
- Ability to work independently and manage relationships in a matrix environment
- Proficient oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail
