Job Description
A postdoc position is available at the Surface and Interface Lab of Prof. CHEN WEI’s group, National University of Singapore. The NRF Investigatorship project "Interface Engineered Ferroelectric 2D Materials for Artificial Synapses and Neuromorphic Computing" focuses on low-dimensional nanomaterials synthesis and their electrochemical applications.
The successful candidate will work with Prof CHEN Wei on low-dimensional nanomaterials synthesis and their electrochemical and photoelectrochemical application together with a team comprising experts in materials development, electrochemical device evaluation and characterization, and reaction mechanism study using home-made interface characterization tools.
Qualifications / Discipline:
The candidate shall recently obtain PhD or submit PhD thesis in Chemistry in a research intensive and renowned University or Research Institute. The candidate shall publish a few first-authored papers on top journals.
Skills:
- Excellent English writing and communication skill,
- Team management skill (help PI to lead a small research team with 1-2 master students),
- Expert in low-dimensional nanomaterials synthesis, structural characterizations using Cryo-TEM/SEM/XRD/UV-Vis, surface science techniques of XPS/UPS, NAP-XPS, and electrochemical applications of these nanomaterials.
Experience:
- The candidate shall have extensive experience in low-dimensional nanomaterials synthesis, and electrochemical applications of these nanomaterials.
