We’re looking for a Junior Electrical Hardware Engineer to join our team. This is an entry level position in an early-stage startup with growth and learning opportunities. You will report to the Head of Client Operations, and collaborate closely with international teammates from Singapore, China and Brazil.

Skills
We value skills and know-how over qualifications. We are looking for strength in the of the following areas:
- Electrical & electronics engineering skills to work with:
- Electrical components like microcontrollers, PCBs, semiconductors
- Electrical equipment and devices like multimeter, power supply, oscilloscope
- Mechanical engineering skills to work with mechanical components like actuators, sensors and pulleys
- Firmware design and development knowledge
- System integration and testing skills for assembled prototypes and production devices
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve hardware issues
- Knowledge of hardware compliance qualification processes, manufacturing methods and component supply sources (advantage)
- Coding ability in common languages like C++ and Python (advantage)
- Knowledge of electronics platform like Arduino (advantage)
- Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively in a high-speed, multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds (advantage)
We also value relevant experience. We consider the following experiences to be relevant:
- Hardware product development experience
- Operational track record of shipping results and creating tangible impact
- Fresh graduates or individuals with 1-2 years of experience are welcome to apply
Expectations
As part of a technology startup, you are expected to be strategic, yet hands-on. You should have an interest in technology and are comfortable with the uncertainty that comes with novel technology innovation. You should be a team player, and can expect to be fully engaged with clear priorities given. This approach applies to all members of the team, including the leaders.
Working Conditions
This is an in-person role based in Singapore, with possible opportunities for travel. We practice a hybrid working style, with a mix of in-person and off-site work. There is no minimum number of in-person days per week. Each person and team decides their own schedule. Every member will assessed by the impact that she/he ships, not by the time spent on work. The only guiding principle for being present is that as humans, authentic in-person interaction is necessary to create the culture of trust that we deem as foundational, so we require all team mates to invest in this.
