As a Cloud and Application Consultant you would help build out the applications and cloud business of Telstra Purple across Asia. Both the Cloud and Applications pillar are key to the success of the vision of Telstra Purple both globally and here in Asia. We have a growth target and this role is vital as this will help the BD bring in the work and be across delivery from a technical leadership standpoint.
Your key accountabilities and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
General
- Consultant across Application Modernisation and New Applications – Covering:
-Orchestration (Kubernetes), Containerization (Docker)
-DevSecOps
-Re-Platforming of Databases
-Modern Data Platforms
-Cloud Native Applications
- Up to date with the latest trends
- Strong application development background to architect application migrations and development on cloud platforms
Delivery
- Work with teams to understand application infrastructure needs and to ensure these are developed and maintained during the life of the application
- Documents infrastructure and application architecture and ensure it is up to date.
- Help drive infrastructure as code using deployment automation tools, such as terraform.
- Have experience in implementing enterprise application using both IaaS, PaaS (platform services) like Azure App Service, Azure SQL, event hubs, stream analytics, document DB etc.
- Familiar with serverless technologies like Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, AKS etc.
- Build application containers (Docker, Docker-Compose)
- Knowledge in container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes
- Knowledge in CI/CD for both IaaS, PaaS and container-based hosting environments
- Coding/scripting (Bash, JavaScript, JSON, Yaml, etc.)
- Good knowledge of security fundamentals, including encryption, certificates, etc.
- Detailed knowledge of systems infrastructure, networking, monitoring and supporting tooling.
