Requirements
•Bachelor or higher Degree in Finance, Business Management or related disciplines.
•10+ years of relevant experience at senior/management level within the financial services industry preferably gained from international brokerage/asset management firms.
•Possess relevant licenses from the MAS, SGX or other regulatory bodies to act as the country representative and business head.
•Familiar with Singaporean regulatory requirements on Securities/FICC brokerage and investment banking and asset management businesses.
•Possess leadership skills and prior experience in heading up a similar team and office.
•Extensive product knowledge especially in fixed income and structured products.
•Experience and knowledge in Global and Asia derivatives market.
•Must possess prior experience in sales and marketing of fixed income/bonds products.
•Capable of engaging independently in financial service activities including origination, structuring, and execution of large, complex transactions.
•Ability to develop and maintain important client relationships.
•Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese to communicate with counterparts in China and Hong Kong.
•Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills.
Job Description
•Act as the Chief Executive Officer and Country Head/Representative of the Singapore office Securities Department.
•Prepare an appropriate and comprehensive business plan and budget in accordance with the group’s guidelines and business requirements.
•Apply for the appropriate licenses from the Singaporean regulatory bodies to operate the group’s planned businesses in the region.
•Plan, direct and oversee set up of the local office in accordance to the group’s standards and in compliance with local regulations.
•Plan and hire appropriate staff required for the businesses in accordance to approved budget.
•Lead and manage the local team, supervise and ensure smooth day-to-day running of its businesses in compliance with local regulations.
•Lead the identification, evaluation, sales, marketing and execution of new and/or existing businesses/products.
•Effectively represent the business interests of the group in dealing with local regulators, government officials, clients, businesses partners, and the local community.
•Report to and liaise with management in Head Office.
•Any ad-hoc or other responsibilities assigned by the Head Office from time to time.
