Job Description
- Operate and set up CNC machines for production of precision parts
- Interpret technical blueprints and designs to understand the specifications and requirements of a part
- Program CNC machines, input the design specifications and to ensure that the machines perform as required
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines to ensure smooth and efficient operation
- Use precision tools (Auto vision system or Electronic Overlay) to measure and inspect finished parts to verify compliance with specifications
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials to the machines
- Adjust machines settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
- Maintain record of processes, tool usage, and production output
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Work with engineers or designers for custom jobs or to refine manufacturing processes

Qualifications
Either
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or technical training in CNC machining or a related field
- Apprenticeship programs that combine on-the-job training with classroom instruction can be beneficial
- Certifications from recognized industry institutions, can be advantageous
- Continuous professioal development to stay updated with new machining technologies and techniques
