Summary of Position

  • Develop business cases with business stakeholders to ensure digital and modernization initiatives are aligned to the company’s goals and objectives. Initiatives need to be applicable globally for the benefit of all the properties.
  • Ensure the business case Scope, Goals, Benefits, Costs, Return on Investments, and Risks, are all clearly defined, understandable, and measurable for easy monitoring and tracking.
  • Ensure the project objectives and goals are aligned with those of the approved business case. Strategize a plan for the project deployment and product release according to stakeholders’ needs and preferences.
  • Planning, organizing, executing, and managing Small to Medium technical projects within Budget, Scope, Schedule, and assigned Resources, including post implementation support and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Source and Develop Solutions from Vendors Globally: Investigate, Research, and Collaborate with vendors from around the work on innovative and cost-effective solutions that will help the company operate more efficiently, leaner, while still enhancing the customer experience.
  • Develop Business Cases: Liaise with stakeholders, mapping the initiatives to strategies and/or operational objectives, develop business justification (scope, goals, financial benefits, costs, risks) for proposed solutions, including measurable factors related to initiative investment decisions that will determine when ROI will be achieved. Pitch the business cases to Senior Management for their approval and funding.
  • Contract Management: Build up master service agreements with respective vendors, based on statements of work, proposals, and defined business strategies.
  • Project Management: Develop the project plan from Initiation to Planning to Execution and Control to final Closure. Lead and Coordinate effort and communication between Vendors, Business Units, and IT Operations. Ensure Change Management and Risks have been included and documented for management and monitoring, and Securities policies and procedures are followed and adhered to. Track and monitor project costs, finances, scope, schedule, and resources to ensure the project is on schedule, on budget, and delivers on the expected business values from it.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or related experience.
  • A minimum of 5+ years’ progressive experience from business analyst to project management role, working on projects of increasing complexity and size, from ERP to SaaS, with a successful track record of delivering on time, on budget, and on the expected business values.
  • Hospitality industry experience is highly desirable as it will make the role much easier to adapt to.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) and be able to take technical or abstract concepts and ideas, and communicate them in simple and everyday terminology for easy understanding by non-technical people.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, at ease and able to communicate at all levels, from vendors, peers, to senior and executive management.
  • Culturally sensitive and empathetic to successfully work and coordinate with peers and vendors from all parts of the world.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, always seeking to clarify for self and others, not afraid to ask the tough questions.
  • Likes problem solving, not afraid of any problem or challenge, always looking for a Win-Win solution, and always looking at the bigger picture.
  • Always seeking process improvements and a better way to do things.
  • Nice to have experience working in a Project Management Office (PMO) and ensuring timely and relevant reporting and detailed documentation of the project Budget, Scope, Schedule, and Resources, while adhering to the company project standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Familiar with Waterfall and Agile methodology.
