The Trade Compliance Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s oil trading activities (physical and paper) adhere to all relevant international trade laws, regulations, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret relevant international trade laws and regulations, including sanctions, export controls, and customs requirements.
- Monitor and analyze the Company activities in financial and physical markets
- Identify potential market abuse and breaches of the company rules and policies, as well as regulatory rules and standards in multiple jurisdictions.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks related to the company’s trading activities.
- Identify opportunities to optimize compliance report effectiveness based on quantitative measurements and analysis.
- Manage Trade Compliance change management process, including facilitation of recurring global governance calls, and ensure proper documentation to demonstrate management engagement.
- Work closely with the legal, operations, finance, and trading teams to ensure that compliance considerations are integrated into all aspects of the company’s activities.
- Support the trading teams in structuring transactions to comply with trade regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent with 4 year’s experience in Trade Compliance
- Working experience with a commodities trading company
- Strong understanding of market abuse risks within commodity markets (physical and paper)
- knowledge of regulations (CFTC, FCA, MAS )
- Experience in using a Trade Compliance platform for alert management and investigation (e.g. Scila/Actimize/SMARTs)
- Commercially focused and flexible individual
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
