They are in search of an IT Application Development Manager for a period of 12 month contract.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Level 2 Support: Provide L2 support for banking application software. Collaborate with the bank's operations department (L1 support), outsourcing vendors, the bank’s IT department, and, when necessary, the head office to address and resolve errors. Be prepared to work overtime, including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and national holidays to implement recovery solutions.
· Project Leadership: Lead projects initiated by the bank, such as user-requested change requests or addressing End of Life issues related to operating systems, database management software, and hardware.
· Team & Vendor Management: Oversee team members, multiple vendors, and service providers to ensure all tasks are executed as planned. Supervise our company's engineers, manage their workforce, conduct personnel assessments, and provide support for their projects and tasks.
· Project Management: Manage projects by resolving issues, overseeing vendors and resources, adhering to schedules, and preparing reports for management, the bank, and the head office as required for approval.
· Compliance: Strictly follow Mizuho's development policies and procedures.
· Coordination: Facilitate smooth collaboration between the bank, developers, head office teams, and vendors. Handle any other assigned tasks as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum of 3 years of experience as an application software engineer in the banking IT sector.
· At least 1 year of managerial experience.
· University degree or Polytechnic diploma.
· Proven experience as an application development engineer in the banking IT sector.
· Development experience with bank settlement applications (e.g., SWIFT, GIRO, FAST).
· Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, Shell), RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server), and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).
· Knowledge and experience with HULFT, MQ, SFTP, VMware technology, or network administration is a plus.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels, including the bank IT department, user departments, outsourcing vendors, and head office members.
· Excellent coordination skills to manage interactions with both local and international clients, vendors, and counterparts.
