Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and bank statements.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment of invoices and collection of receivables.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with IRAS regulation
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and improvements.
  • Software Utilization: Utilize MYOB accounting software and tools for data entry, reporting, and analysis.

Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ethics: High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work environments.
