What you'll do:
As an Incident Responder (Contract), your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of all infrastructure and application components critical to the customer-facing platform technology. You will utilise various monitoring tools to proactively identify potential production incidents, responding swiftly to alerts, and escalating complex issues as needed. Your analytical skills will be crucial in performing trending analysis, allowing you to anticipate and address potential issues before they impact production. In addition, you will collaborate with Change Operations to support change implementations, while also identifying opportunities for additional monitoring and automation. Your role will also involve developing troubleshooting procedures and executing them effectively to resolve incidents quickly.
- Proactively identify and research potential production incidents using monitoring tools.
- Respond promptly to alerts regarding potential production incidents.
- Escalate complex issues to advanced support for problem resolution.
- Perform trending and analysis to proactively address potential issues before they impact production.
- Collaborate with Change Operations to support all change implementations and identify potential issues resulting from changes.
- Identify opportunities for additional monitoring and automation, partnering with Monitoring Architecture and Engineering for implementation.
- Develop procedures for troubleshooting and possible resolution of issues.
- Execute procedures and escalate appropriately to resolve incidents quickly.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Incident Responder (Contract) role is a proven team player who can comfortably work in a multicultural environment. You have demonstrated the ability to work independently, multitask effectively, and navigate complex environments with ease. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills are complemented by your strong influencing, facilitation, and collaboration abilities. You bring knowledge of various monitoring tools such as Splunk, Introscope, Sitescope, Tivoli Netcool/WebGUI, and Catchpoint. Your experience with Java Virtual Machine, Unix/Linux OS, Windows, MQ, OOS/Webmethods is essential. Experience in a large IT production support environment and a basic understanding of ITIL/ITSM are also required. Basic skills in Dynatrace and Splunk Engineering would be a plus.
