The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is looking for a Research Fellow to lead research projects based on nanomaterial synthesis, surface and material characterization, and electrochemical energy conversion and storage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CVD growth and optimization of 2D boron nitride thin films.
- Synthesis of various nanomaterials with unique morphology and structure.
- Perform and analyze AFM, TEM, Raman, and other advanced material characterization.
- Design and fabricate energy storage devices and evaluate their electrochemical performances.
- To work and design experiments with external collaborators to evaluate the scattering properties of different 2D materials.
- Prepare monthly reports and presentations for meetings and project deliverables.
- Publishing research articles in high-impact journals.
- Mentoring of PhD students.
Job Requirements:
- Possess PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry or related disciplines.
- Experience in nanomaterial synthesis and characterization techniques.
- Experience in energy storage device fabrication and electrochemical performance evaluation.
- Good management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent teamwork awareness.
- Good communication and writing in English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders
- Strong responsibility for research / work.
