Responsibilities
- Take charge of drivers and cargo hand / delivery assistants
- To feedback on any safety violations or discipline by drivers to the Operations HOD
- Plan, schedule, organise and assign jobs daily
- Constant communications with drivers to ensure given jobs is completed
- Liaise and co-ordinate with Customer on any problem pertaining to the job
- To report any cargo damage and traffic accident to Operations HOD
- Assist the Operations HOD to investigate incidents/accidents promptly
- To effectively plan, use appropriate vehicle and equipment and check all company asset/equipment are in good hands
- Assist the Operations HOD to monitor servicing/inspection/maintenance schedule of the department's vehicles and arrange accordingly
- Escalate and report any delivery abnormality & cargo discrepancy to immediate superior
- Constant and close monitoring of all deliveries and collections
- Attend to customer's phone calls during/after office hours
- Assist the Operations HOD in replying to daily customer operational queries and requests
- To perform any other tasks assigned by Operations Supervisor/HOD
Requirements
- GCE 'A' Levels / Diploma in any discipline
- Relevant working experience in Logistics / Transportation / Operations or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience in the deployment of drivers for trucking/loose cargo jobs
- Strong understanding of land transportation regulations, routes, and logistical considerations in Singapore
- Candidates with Class 3 Driving License will be advantageous
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all drivers and customers
- Analytical, with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Composed, with the ability to respond effectively to stressful or unpredictable situations
- Proficient in MS Office applications and Google Sheet
