In order to develop the organization and to grow the business further in the region, We are looking for a highly skilled Sales Director with solid experience in the marine industry
ORGANISATION
This role reports directly to the Managing Director based in Singapore and will be in charge of driving growth of new equipment sales, spare parts and services in Southeast Asia.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sales Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the activities of the sales function to effectively execute sales strategies that will maximize sales volume, drive targeted profitable growth and professionally develop the sales staff in Southeast Asia. This includes Business Development, Sales and Customer Experience.
- Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to drive the growth of new equipment sales in South-East Asia
- Design and implement a growth strategy dedicated to Asian market with a specific focus on Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines.
- Build and develop established relationships with key customers such as shipyards and owners, and technical consultants.
- Lead all business development and marketing activities to achieve sustainable profitable growth.
- Take a proactive support role to plan and prepare the annual budget and sales forecasts and execute specific plans to meet the target.
- Provision of information for planning and forecast via sales force
- Develop sales forecast and maintain accountability for sales goal achievement, including but not limited to respective key metrics and/or budget achievement
- Oversee and manage a team of Sales Manager. Coach, train and build the sales team
- Represent SCHOTTEL on a senior level at events, exhibitions, customer visits and presentations
- Work in close cooperation with all key functions and help to maximize the capabilities of the business.
- Manages sales process, coordinates and negotiates proposals in cooperation with technical team, factory’s manufacturing capacity, internal functions, other involved professionals and management.
YOUR PROFILE
· Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Marine, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical field.
· You have a strong and successful sales experience of around 15 to 18 years in marine industry, preferably selling capital equipment.
· You are a strong networker and to-the-point communicator who is able to build and maintain a solid internal and external network.
· You have good interpersonal skills and can interact easily and influence all levels of stakeholders.
· You are result driven and persistent to drive towards company targets.
· You are willing to travel in the region.
