Job Responsibilities:
- US GAAP and IFRS Knowledge:
- Local and U.S. GAAP Tax calculation and Deferred Taxation support
- Local vs US GAAP book reconciliation
- Accounting and Tax Changes - Localized Implementing Rules and Guidelines
- Support the preparation of Financial statements and disclosures
- Accounting issues - clarifications and queries, research on accounting treatment
- Local taxation:
- Oversee China, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Japan tax computations and tax entries.
- Tax risk assessments and studies
- Monitor and manage tax audits
- Local taxation documentation review (GST/VAT) - compliance
- VAT and Withholding tax - sanity check before submission
- Withholding tax - documentation
- Branches/ Rep Office Tax filing:
- Oversee Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong
- VAT and Withholding tax - sanity check before submission
- Local Income tax - sanity check before submission
- Transfer Pricing compliance on branches
- Transfer pricing compliance:
- Review intercompany pricing policy to ensure compliance to Group Transfer Pricing Policy
- Ensure proper documentation for APAC entities (local files, translated Master File, CBCR notification filing)
- Review and oversee expense cross-charge activities
- Address ad hoc queries on transfer pricing treatments
- Merger & Acquisition:
- Support and perform assessment for various integration, merger and acquisition activities
- Corp Secretarial/ Legal/ Authorization:
- Corp Sec Matters (Dividends, Shares certificates, Directors resolutions)
- Annual returns completeness (ACRA/SEC/AIC)
- CorpPass Administrator
- US-FATCA and E-WBN sanity check on government surveys/ statistics - submission
